Pre-solstice snowshoe tour

Join Friends of Plumas Wilderness and Park Interpreter, Darcy Page, on Saturday, December 16th from 1:00 pm – 2:30 pm for a Pre-solstice Snowshoe Tour at Plumas-Eureka State Park! 

This Snowshoe Tour will depart from the Plumas-Eureka State Park Visitor Center, 310 Graeagle Johnsville Rd, Blairsden, CA 96103. Participants are responsible for bringing their own snowshoes, warm layers, and sun protection. Snowshoes are available to rent for a $5 fee. If snow conditions are not appropriate for snowshoeing, tours may become walking tours. Traction devices on boots may be helpful. 

The approximately 2 mile snowshoe tour will last around 90-minutes with short educational stops and natural viewpoints. After the winter tour we will have the opportunity to warm up in the park’s Visitor Center around the fireplace and view the park museum’s collections.
