Thank you for notifying us that you have included Friends of Plumas Wilderness in your estate plans. You can be proud of planning a lasting gift that will help protect and care for the special places you love for present and future generations. Unless other arrangements are made, all gifts will be used to sustain core operations and projects and be directed toward the greatest need, ensuring FoPW is stable and strong for years to come.

Unless other arrangements are made, all gifts over $10,000 will be used as specified below per our Board-approved Gift Acceptance Policy, and gifts of $10,000 or less will be used for the greatest need.

  • 30% invested in endowment for perpetual income
  • 30% invested in program fund to support ongoing programs of work (Monitoring & Stewardship, Advocacy & Planning, Education & Outreach)
  • 30% directed toward greatest need
  • 10% to sustain the legacy giving program
